Madhya Pradesh Govt. amends State Tax Officers' powers to refund GST

Madhya Pradesh Govt. tweaks the powers delegated to proper officers in relation to GST refund w.e.f. May 21; Accordingly, consolidates power to sanction refund u/s 54 of Madhya Pradesh GST Act as follows – (a) where total amount of refund claim under all the Acts does not exceed Rs 5 lakhs – State Tax Officer, (b) where the amount does not exceed Rs. 15 lakhs – Asst.
