GST authorities arrest two Directors for alleged GST evasion

CGST Mumbai Central Commissionerate arrests Directors of 2 Cos. for alleged GST evasion to the tune of over Rs. 7 Cr.; Said Directors have been arrested for availing “ineligible credit” of Rs. 5.20 Cr and Rs. 2.03 Cr respectively, in separate cases; As per the statement released by the Commissionerate, “They (the companies) were only exchanging invoices for so-called sale and purchase.
